Tudományos Kutatótábor Izraelben
2010.03.29.
A KutDiák, mint a Network of Youth Exellence tagja, idén nyáron is delegálhat fiatal tehetséges di ákokat egy nemzetközi kutatótáborba, ahol lehetőségük van laboratóriumi munkákba bekapcsolódni, és különböző szemináriumokon részt venni.
As a consequence of the generosity of Weizman Institute, member of the Network of Youth Excellence (www.nyex.info), KutDiak has the chance again to delegate a particularly motivated and bright student to the international science camp to be held in the summer in Israel. Feel free to contact olah.mate@kutdiak.hu if you were interested in the ISSI camp introduced below.
Age of Participants
The International Summer Science Institute is open to talented science-oriented students who will have just graduated from high school prior to the starting date.
Registration for the camp has not yet begun. The exact date will be announced at a later date
General Schedule for 2010
The 2010 camp will take place from July 5 to July 29, 2010. Participants will arrive on July 4.
Structure of the Program
-
Three weeks are devoted to the laboratory scientific research.
-
During that period supplemental lectures delivered by senior Institute scientists, departmental talks and visits to some of the state of the art facilities on campus take place. Students themselves are strongly encouraged to prepare and lead seminars on subjects in which they have interest.
-
Upon completion of laboratory work, participants give an oral presentation before an assembly of their peers and mentors. They also submit a written report.
-
Then the group shifts to an altogether different scientific focal point - a field school in the Judean Desert, near the Dead Sea. The expert guides from the school lead hikes (at differing levels of intensity) to acquaint participants with the ecological, geographical, geological, zoological and archeological characteristics of the area.
