Born in 2006, Viktória grew up in Komádi, where she attended primary school. It was there that she first encountered the subject that would later become the focus of her research. In 2020, she was admitted to the Arany János Talent Development Program at Tóth Árpád Secondary School in Debrecen, where she graduated in 2025.

She is currently a law student at the Deák Ferenc Faculty of Law of Széchenyi István University in Győr.

Despite spending several years in Debrecen, she has always maintained a strong connection to her hometown. In 2023, she began ethnographic research focusing on Komádi’s traditional white and linen embroidery, examining its motifs, origins, and development. Her project, titled Treasures of Komádi, received the Grand Prize in recognition of her outstanding research. As her work progressed, she uncovered previously unexplored artifacts, new lines of inquiry, and long-forgotten family connections, all of which inspired her to continue her research. She returned to the conference in 2025, where her work was awarded First Prize by the jury.

Since childhood, Viktória has been passionate about folk dance, traditional culture, and the preservation of cultural heritage, making it only natural that these interests became the foundation of her research. She has also been an active member of several organizations and volunteers each summer at a folk dance camp held in Komádi. Early in secondary school, she joined the Student Council and later served as its President. During this time, she became involved with the Debrecen Youth Council, first as a member and later as its Acting President for one year. During her presidency, one of Debrecen’s youth community spaces, BeugRoom, was officially opened. For two years, she also served as the student representative of the Debrecen School District Centre, where she participated in organizing and delivering career orientation events.

During the 2025/26 term, she served as Vice President of the student leadership. She gratefully and enthusiastically accepted the invitation to assume the position of Executive President.

This has become so much more than just research. In my wildest dreams, I never imagined that, thanks to the movement, so many incredible things would happen to me from 2023 onward—all because I happened to ask one question at the right place and at the right time. Just as I did over the past year, I will continue working to ensure that many future Student Researchers have the opportunity to experience everything I have been fortunate enough to receive: opportunities, unforgettable memories, meaningful connections, valuable experiences, and, above all, lifelong friendships. In one word: gratitude.
