Laura Kálazi

She was born on June 2, 2003 in Komárno, Slovakia. She finished her secondary school studies at Kossuth Lajos Grammar School of Mosonmagyaróvár. She is currently a first-year student of psychology at Eötvös Loránd University.

She joined the Hungarian Research Student Association in 2019, that year she reached the final round of TUDOK. In her research, she examined the effect of microalgae on development of plants. The following year she was already concentrating on exterminate ragweed. In the 2020 final, she won first prize in the Biology, ecology, environment protection section.

In 2019 she took 1st place in Biology section at Hlavay József National Student Conference of Environment and Engineering. In 2019 and 2020 she received the Excellent Student of Mosonmagyaróvár award.

Her main areas of interest are biology and literature. In her free time she enjoys going to the theatre, reading, hiking, listening to music.

I gained a lot of experience during the competitions, and the Student Conference in Káptalanfüred is one of the best experiences of my life. I am very glad to be able to take part in the promotion of the association and the organisation of competitions as a member of the leadership.”
